Origins …

It’s the grandest question of all: where did everything come from? There are two answers to this fundamental question. The first response is evolution. Natural, materialistic processes acting over aeons of time produced everything. The second answer is creation. A powerful intelligence, God, acting with plan and purpose brought everything into existence supernaturally.

Creation is a reasonable explanation for the origin of the universe, life, diverse life, and human beings. The creation idea, or model, is a scientifically, philosophically, and theologically legitimate and justifiable answer to the grand question, “where did everything come from?”

Naturalists, materialists, atheists, and others have derided, mocked and ridiculed the creation model. The remarks I have heard include:

  • it’s a fairy tale
  • it’s fantasy – empty of any explanatory power
  • it’s ridiculous
  • it’s just religion – and evil too
  • it’s crazy
  • it’s idiotic
  • it’s not scientific
  • it’s been proven false

Why is creation a more reasonable explanation for origins than evolution? That’s the purpose of this site. Briefly,

  • Creation is scientifically reasonable. For example, information theory shows that intelligence is necessary to create information. The information content in living cells must have originated from an intelligent, living God.
  • Creation is philosophically reasonable. For example, how could a mind develop from mindless matter?
  • Creation is theologically reasonable. For example, in the context of the Ten Commandments, God declares that He created everything in the span of six days. Exodus 20:8-11
